Presbyterian Women:
There is still
time to register for the
Presbyterian Women’s Churchwide Gathering, July
11-15, 2009
at the Convention
Center in Louisville, Kentucky. Registration will be
subsidized by the Presby PW ($430). The theme is:
“God Will Do Wonders Among You!” Workshops,
Convocations, Inspiring worship and Bible Study all
reflect this theme. See May Matsuoka or June
Nishimura (Mrs) for registration and/or more
information. [website] |

Here’s
an opportunity to support the PW’s mission efforts: Donate a
$20 gift card from
a national retailer (eg Home Depot, Lowe’s, Target, K-Mart,
etc). PW will give these cards to the Presbyterian Disaster
Assistance and Bellewood Presbyterian Homes for Children.
This direct and flexible use of spending power offers a way
to provide what is needed quickly in times of emergency and
for specific needs of individuals. Donations will be
accepted until Sunday July 10th by May Matsuoka and Helen
Christ. Helen will bring them to the PW Churchwide
Gathering.
Dear
Presbyterian Women:
Thank
you for your recent donation of $200 to Habitat for
Humanity, which I forwarded to the affiliate in
Bay-Waveland, Mississippi, for their on-going restoration
efforts. Thank you, also, for supporting Mike Shimasaki and
I in our participation in the blitz build in Bay St. Louis
for the young couple who wanted to move back "home" after
Hurricane Katrina turned their lives upside down.
Blessings to you all as you continue to give to God's
mission in the world!
