History Japanese Presbyterian Church (Presby) was founded in 1907 as an outreach ministry of First Presbyterian Church of Seattle to Japanese immigrants. For many years, we served the Japanese-American community here in Seattle. Today, while we maintain committed to the Japanese-American community in the Seattle/Eastside Area, we are becoming an increasing diverse community of faith united by the common passion to follow Jesus Christ in our everyday life. We are part of Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), a mainline denomination with its theological and doctrinal roots in the Reformation movement in Scotland. |
